Libby Libhart, CPP

Libby Libhartcpp150D.B. “Libby” Libhart has over 30 years of experience in the Loss Prevention industry.  Libby has provided security and safety leadership in a variety of retail settings including Department Stores, Drug Stores, and Quick Serve Restaurants.  Before launching his own company, LL Training and Consultant Group, LLC Libby served as the Senior Director of U.S. Security and Safety for McDonald’s Corporation.  Libby entered the Quick Serve restaurant industry with Taco Bell and subsequently YUM Brands. 

During his career in Loss Prevention, Libby was recognized for moving Loss Prevention programs from reactive responders to pro-active business partners.  He has led teams that were highly recognized for the development and implementation of successful programs in cash and food cost controls, risk management and life safety.

Libby is the President of LL Training and Consultant Group, LLC a company which provides high quality training and consulting to businesses and individuals.  The emphasis is on helping clients develop their people, systems, and programs to best reach their strategic objectives.   LossBusters was developed as a division of LL Training and Consultant Group, LLC to provide clients wtih best practice solutions  to restaurants and retailers in the areas of security, safety, loss prevention, risk management and food cost controls.  He has the ability to generalize information gleaned from various industries and experiences into fundamental security processes with applications across venues.

Libby holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and is a Certified Protection Professional (CPP), the highest internationally recognized designation in the security and loss prevention industry. In 2006 Libby wrote, “Risk Management in the Quick Service Restaurant Environment” published by Loss Prevention Magazine and was a featured speaker at the Retail Technology for Latin America 2008 Conference in Mexico.  In July, 2009 Libby spoke on "Why Employees Do Not Follow Security Policies" at the National Food Service Security Conference in New Orleans.
